Trevor Boyer is a skilled coder and entrepreneur who co-founded Boxpressd, a mobile cigar app that allows enthusiasts to discover and rate new cigars, as well as connect with other cigar lovers from around the world. Originally from northwest New Jersey, Trevor moved to South Carolina to attend college. While pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he took a summer internship with BMW, where he saw the importance of coding skills and decided to switch his major to Computer Engineering. After college, Trevor worked for a San Francisco-based software company called TokBox, and started his own software company, Elite Developer Solutions, on the side. Having used apps like Untappd and Vivino, Trevor decided to create Sigaro (later rebranded as Boxpressd) as a personal project. With no comparable apps on the market at the time, Trevor released it to Google's Play Store and Apple's App Store with the hopes that other aficionados would find it useful. However, Apple soon banned Sigaro due to the tobacco references in the app. Trevor briefly considered abandoning the project until he came across an Instagram profile for a site called "Cigars Near Me" and decided to contact the owner. Several cigars, glasses of scotch, and some great conversations later, he and Kirtlan worked together to develop what is now the Boxpressd Cigar App. The app revolutionized the cigar industry with its innovative user-friendly design and social networking features. Today, Trevor continues to lead the development of Boxpressd, striving to make it the go-to platform for cigar enthusiasts around the world.
